RV8 compression Ratio
Discussion
Hi anyone know if you can check the compression ration of a built engine.
Was tempted to put mesured ammounts of petroleum jelly in cyclinder at hightest point untill it's full. and them compare to cyclinder volume my calculation of bore and stroke.
or is there any other way.
It's a Early TVR 4L (3.5 rebore) with new style heads flat cosworth pistions and compersit gasket. Heads have 010 written on them I asume this is a 10 thou skim.

You would need to dismantle it to accurately measure things to get an idea of c/r.
Try posting on the v8 forum, their's a few knowledgable chaps on there that can no doubt help you get an accurate idea of what it is.
