Mercedes C200 Auto 'box oil level
Discussion
Hi
I am just about to change the oil in the auto box on my C200 S202 model.
Getting the old oil out, changing the filterscreen, refitting the sump pan, etc is no problem.
Can anyone advise on how to set the oil level?
Short of measuring the quantity which comes out and refilling with same, I would like a good way to set to the correct factory level.
Is there a dipstick available to put down the tube in the engine bay?
Should the oil level be checked with oil hot and engine at tick-over?
Any advice, maybe from a MB technician, would be welcome.
Thanks!

go to merc buy a dipstick and new blank plug that you'll have to break off the top of the tube, they are both only a few £,set the level to cold idel push it though the gears stationary, then road test and get it to the hot level.I am just about to change the oil in the auto box on my C200 S202 model.
