Hi,
I have owned my 96 ek civic for 4 years now its only a baby it has the d15z6 lump which has just recently blown up after a very hard life. I have now bought a 1.8vti engine out of a civic aerodeck engine code b18c4 (180bhp) we havent started the job yet due to lack of time but it will be soon. I am being told that the wiring harness will NOT fit my 96 ek civic because the ek is a 1 piece loom and the b18c4 is 2 piece??? will i be able to make 1 good loom out of both looms? Will all of my warning lights still work? Is this even possible??
any advice will be much appriciated

get your self on to hondaswap, you shouldn't have to touch the loom, the loom from the 1.5 will fit the b series engine. one or 2 wires may need to be lengthen and you will have to wire the vtec in as well as one or 2 but there nothing major.

The 1.5 is already a vtec most of the plugs fit appart from the alternator and the ecu how can i plug the ecu in???
