Fuel system advice
Discussion
I`m in need of some advice please guys.
I need to install a complete new fuel system in my LS1 powered Astra Coupe.
My thoughts are, ATL fuel cell with internal pump, to under car to fuel filter to fuel rail, then, drill and tap the other side of the rail to create a return to tank with a pressure regulator in the return.
What are your thoughts on this, and what pump, filter, injectors and regulator will I need, baring in mind, I intend supercharging at a later date ?
Thanks
Pete

Either a pair of 044's ( serious overkill ) or a pair of 909's will cope with anything you throw at it.I need to install a complete new fuel system in my LS1 powered Astra Coupe.

That said, the Yanks seem to be able to squeeze circa 700USBHP from a single 044 pump, so try that first. If you did run short, you could throw on a 909 in parallel to assist it.
Injectors, get the Siemens/Mototron 60lb's
Filter, any of the usual suspects. SX, Aeromotive etc all do nice alloy filters.
Or revert back to the old Porsche Bosch style filters.
You can get some part nos in here
http://www.motec.com.au/pdf/MoTeC_Catalog.pdf
They kindly show pictures of some filters then you get source them locally, or off ebay.
FPR. Again, SX, Aeromotive, Magnafuel and no doubt countless other brands will do the job.
Rails can be modified in a variety of ways. Some still use a dead end system, with the reg mounted, tee-d after the rails. Some flow thru the rails, then reg. Some still keep a complete dead end, with the reg at the rear.
Check out Street Tuna's GenT/TT fuel system for easy fit to the Monaro's

lol I had a feeeling you`d be the first to answer Stevie
Thanks for that mate, I need to get my arse in gear again and finish her. I`ve suffered from lack of motivation since I missed PV07 and the VBOA at Billing.
My wife is out of hospital now and making a good recovery, although she cant do any housework, I`ve been doing that for some time now.
I dont have any eaxcuses left, gonna start again next month.

The GSS392 Walbro's would indeed do, and be quite cheap. ( As are Bosch 909's )
The 909 will cope with higher pressures than the Walbro though, if you felt the need to go there.
Walbros start to fall off a lot circa 7 bar. The Bosch's I mentioned will keep going to about 8 bar.
Even a pair of Walbro's in-tank would do what you needed, and save any need for a swirl tank, if you had a tank built to suit. ALthough that might work out more costly, and still not effective as a swirl tank setup.
Although I just run a tank with a foam and an internal collector, which is not an ideal setup given the shape/size of my tank. I have only one 5/8 outlet, which goes to my Aero filter, tee-s into the 044's, then tee-s back into a 1/2" hardline to the front of the car etc etc.
Ive never had any fuel surge problems, but I haven done any real track use either, and if I was, I'd have plenty of fuel in it.
