Hello all just to make you sick i picked this up for £150

This is actually a bog standard RangeRover engine and was made by Janspeed to fit the Rangerover (this is what this one came out of) so all the bits are standard.

Great thing about Forced induction is that you dont need to spend loads of money on High lift cams, big valve heads etc
Its a Janspeed kit made for the Rangerover. It was rated as 260Bhp on this engine configiration could do 60mph in 7.1 seconds @ 130 "odd" MPH

Help mummy!

Hummph. I hope your main bearings are scrap, your crank is bent and the block has a crack right the way round, through no.3 main bearing...

I'll give you twenty quid for the turbos...

Sorry to see you have 'suck through' SU's. Still for £150 it's gotta be worth fitting. Did it come with an EMS 5 unit?

There was a good article I read on a twin turbo Ford 2.9 V6, can't find it, but found this: www.area51.org.uk/projectcar/car.shtml which is a similar project on the same engine.
Basically, the problems will be the same whatever the engine.
A rover ECU may be able to cope with mild turbo boost, as it measures air flow and temp, with a rising rate FPR?

Don't know much about turbo carbs, but I had a mate years ago with an R5 turbo with 145-150BHP at the wheels, on basically original setup, modified carb (bigger jets I guess!) and a new turbo after he damaged the oil pipe to it!

It was the worst car I have ever driven - once you set off you were a passenger!!!!!
