In an attempt to remove all push on fuel and oil hoses on my track car (call it paranoia or vanity depending on your viewpoint), I'm looking for a fuel pump with AN/JIC -6 fittings or something that I can screw an adapter into (female 3/8NPT?) to replace the in-tank pump on an MX5.

I'll be looking for a base pressure of 50psi running up to 65psi under boost and a flow of somewhere in the region of 175-200 l/h (4 550cc/min injectors running at 65psi flows 160 l/h by my calculations).

Apart from having worked this out, knowing that the stock pump is in-tank and that the "usual" Walbro 190l/h upgrade has moulded plastic push on fittings, I know very little about fuel pumps. Any advice that anyone can give would be *much* appreciated. Any suggestions?

Even the Walbro 255lph have push on fittings, and seem secure aven up to circa 70/80psi. Never tried them on more.

If you want a pump with threaded fittings at one end, you'll probably need to go do Bosch.

An 044 is complete overkill for what you want, but it is threaded at both ends, although the intake side can be used with no fittings, and haz a internal gauze built in.
M12x1.5 on the outlet side.

A Bosch 909 is another good pump, but its got a 12mm hosetail on the intake side, and M12x1.5 on the outlet.

Many thanks Stevie, that's exactly what I was after.

Looking it up, I might even be able to go for the 040 as a direct in-tank replacement as it has no inlet fitting at all, just a big gauze covered opening on the base. This will save me having to find somewhere to mount the pump externally, especially as my level of competence is very much limited to fitting rather than fabricating.

Thanks again!
