Renault Laguna - engine woes
Discussion
Hi All.
A mate is having bother with his Laguna as below - any thoughts or similar experiences ?
Cheers, Mike.
I have a June 2007 Renault Laguna 2.0 dCi 150 and, when the car is used first thing in the morning, the engine misfires slightly for the first mile or so under acceleration. It's like it is 'hiccupping' - that's the best way to describe it. It almost always happens first thing but sometimes doesn't! If the car is left outside after a short drive and isn't used again for several hours, the same thing will happen sometimes when I use it again. Generally though, it's OK after first use of the day. Renault says it cannot find a problem - has anyone else experienced this? The fuel economy isn't that great and I wonder if the two are linked - I had a 2003 1.9 dCi for my last car and it was more economical even though the official figures say it shouldn't be. Where I got about 48 mpg on a motorway run with the 1.9, I am getting about 42 mpg with the 2.0 - not good.

Try the 'French Bred' section. More Renault owners on there.
From my experience Renault issues are very well covered in sites/forums that are focused on Renault products so have a dig around the web for owners clubs (whilst there are few clio clubs not sure how many Laguna Owners Clubs you'll find out there lol!)
