Right all you electrical guru's out there i'm just in the middle of fitting a Stack Tacho into my Golf Rallye running a 1.8 20vt engine from an Audi S3 but wondered if anyone knows the best pick up point for the actual RPM signal? i know some Westfield XTR's use the 1.8t engine and run with Stack clusters so can someone help before i use the trial and error method.

Thanks in anticipation H.

I would imagine the ecu would be a good place to start. It does send the rpm signal to the factory rev counter after all.
Just use that same wire ?

There should be a pin out on the ECU for rpm which the stack should be able to read.

You need to find a pin out diagram for your ecu, splice the wire, viola.
