The problem will not be the filter, but the effective flow rate due to the higher viscosity.

I'm not sure you're confusing biodiesel with straight vegetable oil? Straight veg oil (triacylglycerides - 57 carbon atoms or so) is certainly more viscous than dino-diesel. Biodiesel is generally FAME (fatty acid methyl esters - derived from triacylglycerides - 19 carbons or so) and has similar viscosity to dino-diesel.
