Differential Oil Seal Replacement
Discussion
The input oil seal on my BTR diff is leaking; does anyone know, typically, how tight the nut is that I will need to undo on the diff input, to get to the oil seal?
I'm trying to work out if I can get it undone with a heavy duty socket set with extensions or whether I would need to hire a compressed air driven impact wrench.
Thanks

If you have access to a lift you should be able to do it with a breaker bar and a length of cheater pipe, if however you won't be able to get it very high off the ground I would recommend an impact wrench, assuming you are doing this "in-car". The pinion nut is usually torqued to above 250 ft/lbs and has copious amounts of thread locker applied.
