I don't get the bad press that it gets. I tend to disregard most of it though because its generally of the form that "it does this differently from X" which is kind of missing the point. As a daily its drivable, comfortable, and reasonably economic for a 400hp V6. The sound it makes in standard is good, when you hit the sport button and open the valves in the exhaust it is something else. Not sure the neighbours necessarily agree with that on a cold start though

I got a decent amount off the list price but it wasn't cheap. Its a bit of an indulgence and I'm willing to pay for. Running costs, over an above, fuel are ok. £200 a corner or so for tyres, and the services have all been the right side of £1k. I have had to replace the brake pads which wasn't cheap but I've done over 36,000 miles in under two years and it still puts a smile on my face. For that alone I'd say its worth it.
