Remapping a 4.2

Having had my Audi RS4B5 transformed by remapping, can anyone please let me know their experiences in upgrading a 4.2 which I have been offered by a friend ?

You'll see a much less significant improvement in a naturally aspirated engine than in a turbo RS4, both in terms of numbers and feel..

Remapping non-turbo engines will usually get 5-10% more power at best. Big money for small gains on supercars.

Turboed engines will easily make 20-80% more power. They are great for remapping.

The Mercedes c63 AMG being an exception to the rule as the naturally aspirated 6.2 litre engine is restricted to 457bhp from 525bhp for Mercedes hierarchy reasons.

Add the V10 Audi R8 to that for the same reason!

Mapped from the factory to only achieve 80% throttle opening even when you floor the loud pedal.

Simple remap will unleash 100% throttle on both C63 and V10 R8, mapping most other (unmodified) NA engines in pretty pointless.

RS4 remap. My experience, spend the money on a great exhaust system. The remap does almost nothing.
