Got one, new, only about 6 weeks ago. It's a petrol V6 and love it. I had a Cayenne before, but it did feel very German / lacking soul / everything black and quite fussy with so many buttons. Perfectly decent and competent car, but just missing something.
This is my 4th Maserati (had 3 GranTurismo's of various flavours). It wafts along when you want it to and can feel a bit slow, but once you press the sport button and louden up the exhaust, it is very nice indeed. It's obviously not a sports car, but at the same time it does enough to put a smile on your face - more so than the Cayenne did, as it has that bit of spirit and soul about it. I also love the blue colour and the light interior. I deliberately went for a more 'classic' look as opposed to 'drug dealer' and haven't regretted it one bit.
The downsides are the odd Italian peculiarity - only one stalk on the dash which does everything, but is in an awkward position because Italy. Umm...trying to think of anything else I don't like, but not really coming up with much. Oh and it has the most intuitive and responsive info screen / system that I've come across - that was a very pleasant surprise, as I expected a modest evolution of the GT's crappy system!
Overall its a lovely car and one I'd recommend giving a go.
