Ghibli II vs Shamal

What are the differences between the last Ghiblis and the Shamal besides the engine? It seems to me the late Ghiblis II inherited a lot from the Shamal which came a few years before them. In the end the Ghibli II V6 was putting out more power than the Shamal and it was also slightly lighter.

So not considering the rarity of the Shamal, as a car and specially a driver's car, how do the Ghibli II compare? Performance on paper seem to be on pa with the Ghibli possibly having a slight edge in the numbers.

Second question is, am I insade for being considering getting a late Ghibli?
