Great thread with lots of interesting and useful information for any potential owners.

I am also considering a GranTurismo S 4.7 as a daily driver. I don't do many miles in my daily- as little as 4000-5000 per year. Currently have a 458 for most of the fun stuff/weekend use weather permitting.

I have a bit of a general question, as space is limited the GranTurismo would need to live outside- has any one kept one outside and do they cope well with that?

I can put it under a good outdoor cover during Dec-Feb if needed.

I wanted to also ask if the 2 year warranty a main dealer provides is worthwhile in terms of what is excluded and what the fixed price servicing is like within the network? I am struggling to find a price list, I have come across one or two from independents who seem to charge 400 for a minor and 950 for a major. I am assuming main dealer is as much as double that? It's 12,500 or 2 years time frame for what I understand for GranTurismo' s so in my case would be 2 years as I would definitely not do those miles before 24 months in which case the main dealer cost is not too bad all things considered.

Mines outside as I have a gym in the garage.

Its used as a daily. They aren't expensive so buy one, use it, have fun.

Yes, your right in terms of purchase cost they do look good value and have done for some time. The other car I am considering is a G63 AMG which for same age/miles is considerably more expensive- obviously quite a different car but still the GT does inevitably look attractive in comparison.

I haven't actually driven one yet though, which I need to at some point these next months. It is a very big car, are the parking camera's and sensors good?

I am looking at a 2014-2017 mc stradale or mc shift auto which I understand is the ZF unit from that point onwards, distinguished by the gearstick rather than buttons.

Does anyone have an idea of main dealer fixed price service cost as this is something else which I cannot seem to find any info on?

A dealer I did contact oddly only had levante and ghibli pricing in their system.

JCT did tell me they offer a collection and return service due to how poor the network is in the UK which is useful to know, and may be helpful to others too. Apparently it's 50 GBP, which makes me think they are going to make an absolute killing on the service itself but as there is no specialist close to me and no viable other option I would not have a lot of choice on that front.

Maserati Solihull told me for my 4.2 it was £3500 for a major and £1800 for a minor.

Plus all the other bits.

My rear sensors do not work and I don't need them. If you are concerned about the size, perhaps a fast hatchback might be a better choice?
