Rob g'day mate
I wonder if we'll need some sort of paddock entry pass to visit E-E at Thruxton? It's over thirty years since I went to a meeting there so I don't know what paddock admission is like these days. Maybe we should contact E-E and find out. They might want to know how many are going. If not too many, perhaps they could organise paddock passes.
What d'ya reckon?

Yes Mick,

Your mate was handed the win for race #1 in WA when, while Mark Skaife was leading Ambrose in his F**D, ran into Skaify on the last corner of the last lap and they both went off, Ambrose finished 3rd and poor Skaife with no steering limped home in 14th.

Is that team tactics for F**D ?

Good to see Todd Kelly & HRT won the event for HOLDEN, DRIVE ON !

If the Snetterton results are anything to go by,is it worth going along to watch? I'm not interested in a day out to see it thrashed by Ferraris and Porsches.Maybe it just needs Garry Rogers to tune it and Brocky to drive it.

Emotional Engineering team get a rules break for Snetterton by allowing the Monaros engine restrictor size to be increased as they run a standard throttle system, lets hope they get better results!

G'Day Guys,

The e-e Monaro is getting quicker, but more problems for them ment there's still work to do.

Here are some of the events from the weekend. Might sound familiar to Will & Paul,

Practice,
Around fifteen mins into his 20 mins session the car threw the belt for the power steering, water pump and alternator. The belt problem was found to be wear in pulley component ‘that wasn’t up to the job” quickly replaced

Race #1
Starting well Matt immediately started to challenge the Marcos ahead of him, but within a three laps Matt radioed to the pits that he thought the clutch was slipping and few laps later with the engine temperature climbing Matt was called into the pits by the team. DNF

Race #2
Every thing looked promising for a good finished, but after just a few laps Manderson reported in with a vibration from the left rear wheel, the car was called in, a quick check revealed wear to the wheel bearing Matt returned to the track. Driving at 7/10ths and treating the car as gently as he could Matt managed to bring the car in 16th overall.

I'm sure by the time we see the car at Thruxton it will be running much closer to the front of the field, but if it's not I STILL want to see and hear the MIGHTY MONARO running and give the team plenty of encouragement.
Come on E-E.

GO MONARO !

You don't need passes to get into the paddock at Thruxton, or indeed at any of the F3/GT rounds. Its one of the aspects that make this racing more fun, that you can actually get close to the cars and drivers.
