Not sure, but you may need the whole grille to do the front badge. You have to replace the whole grille on the VY Commodore.
How about Chevrolet and US GTO badges too????
There is a Chevy development Monaro running around near me. (Middle East Monaro; SS coupe??)
I have a sneaking suspiscion the HSV GTO badges might be sought after soon!!!!!!!!
Good on you for finding the numbers and getting them in!

Ok I have beaten myself up with a large baseball bat!!!!!
You only need a badge for the front of the Vauxhall Monaro if it is the same grille shape as the Holden Monaro!
You can buy the whole Holden grille with the badge if you want or just the badge only which I believe is the same size as the Vauxhall one.

That's quite funny actually. When I read in AutoCar that the Monaro was coming to the UK but badged as a Vauxhall, I told my wife that if we ever got one we'd have to get our friends in Australia to source a full set of Holden badges and get them sent over.
Seems I'm not the only person to think this way.
Any chance I could buy the badges and then buy a hsv to go behind them.
Anyone know what the difference is between the Monaro VXR and the HSV equivalent sold in Oz.
VXR and HSV GTO....looking at the car over there....there is not much difference...there is a HSV GTO LE over here which i think might have a little more fruit on it...namely brakes etc...
Hi Crazy
There is a 4wd Monaro just released this month in Aus called Coupe 4. Go back to Mon May 3 for pics. Moto MK can tell you the price down there.
I am not sure it is released this month..You can get an AWD wagon(Adventra) and an AWD dual cab ute (pickup) ,Cross8......There is an HSV AWD wagon called the Avalanche..I believe that is available...and an HSV dual cab pick up called the HSV XUV Avalanche. These all have the V8 on board. I was looking at an HSV GTO last night in Impulse Blue. I think I need to correct a statement i made elsewhere. The GTO over here has the GTP wheel...whilst your VXR has the VX GTS wheels (current VY II R8 wheels)
How do you post pictures on here?

Just looked on the Coupe 4 web site and yep it says release in June 04 and is priced at under $95,000AUD. It's featured in last summers Excelerate. Superb pics and a good write up. Whereabouts do you live down there?
I live in Melbourne!!
A lot of the performance shops are awaiting the arrival of the Coupe 4...so hey can mess around with it. In the write-ups on it, they mentioned that 270kw was the most they could get out of it because the exhaust was restricted because of all the 4WD hardware!

Hey Guys
Anyone that needs Aussie (Holden) badges, just drop us a e-mail, geoff@jhp.com.au
The first of the HSV Coupe 4 (4WD Monaro / HSV) will be released mid to late July in Australia. Yes 270kw auto only, they come with factory twin 5 spoke 19" x 9" on the rear and 19" x 8" on the front. I have had one on order since late last year when they were released at the Sydney motor show. I work for a company that does all sorts of things to Aussie Commodores and it's very easy to get 320kw without opening the up the engine. I currently have a "SS" wagon (estate) 5.7 six speed with 350kw and traction is a real problem with rear wheel drive.

I re-badged my Monaro this weekend, having had badges shipped to me from a mate in Perth.
A couple of points of advice for those doing the same.
Firstly, radiator grille and alloy badges were easy to change, but the boot badge was much tougher. It was stuck fast with adhesive paper to the paintwork and needed to be removed using a covered knife and a lot of care, otherwise it would be easy to scratch the paintwork underneath the badge.
Secondly, the boot badge had horizontal inserts, while the aligning holes in the boot are vertical. For now, I've cut the inserts off and the badge is simply stuck on using the badge's adhesive paper. I'll be having a word with my supplier to see if I've got the right badge (the contours of the badge fit the Monaro boot) and washing carefully.
I peeled the VAUXHALL badge off (very easily) the day I got the car.

I recently removed the Holden badges off my Holden!! And put some Chevrolet badges on there! The boot lid should have the same holes so it matches the badge.
To get the badges off use a Hair dryer to soften the sticky stuff!!I was going to use nylon cord to get it off but I was sure I had read somewhere to use dental floss!!! So I used Dental floss in a sawing motion! Make sure you wipe the area down afterwards with wax and varnish remover? (prepsol)
One thing i would like to know is, Does behind the badge on the grille match up with the badge or have they built a special Vauxhall grille?
I do know you can get the grille and the badge together or just the badge seperately.
