The plot thickens, my dealer is having problems getting the badges. I have tried ringing them (lem spa) myself and they say that they havent got the parts numbers yet, and Skippys voicemail says he's on holiday.
Looks like I might have to drive a Vauxhall after all ?

when do you get the car, as it will take about 5days to get a set over from OZ.

I really do have to agree with Lusifer,
Are we all becoming inverted snobs.
You would not have these lovely Monaros if Vauxhall had not bitten the bullit and taken a decision to offer all of us 'Holden' lovers the chance to purchase at a very competive price.

Dan
You might also want to order the badges for your wheels. I have the numbers at home and can put these on the site at the weekend, if needed.
I ordered mine from GScarterfield@citymotors.com.au in Perth. He will know the numbers and he'll be there until about 2pm today 00 618 9422 7777. He shipped them to be in 3 days. Best to check freight inclusive charges as freight ended up being £20.

On another note the "Monaro" badges on either side of the car are a bit different to the ones displayed above!
The current Monaro down here has dull Chrome "Monaro" badges that sort of match the wheels. I am not sure where the shiny Monaro ones above come from! Might be a CV8R...bane of my existance at this stage!!!!

Well the car is now on the drive and the dealer has kindly debadged it for me, I don't know what you are on about with this "badge snobbery" busness, its a Holden, even the radio manual says Holden, however the digital dashboard readout says "Vauxhall" when you turn the key so we need a resident computer genius to put that right (Paul?)

1st impressions are twofold, one - I keep banging my head on the door pillar and two - it's bloody quick despite being run in

The Monaro features in the summer special Auto Express handling feature. Don't rush to buy it....LOL

You need to go to your friendly dealer again!!
If they have the Tech2 plug in computer thingy, they will be able to do it! I did have my changed over to a different display but changed it back as each country has different settings....ie On the Middle East cars the speed warning beep was permanently on at 120kmh on my car anyway so I went back to Holden!
There are 7 or 8 countries you can have the dash reprogrammed to however as you have a V8, it has to be a country that has a V8 so that rules out Brazil! Holden will be OK
It only takes a minute or two to do but sadly I don't have the instructions!

The Wheel caps on the Holden wheels are cast & the HSV caps are stick on ones, I think that is why they are cheeper.

I'll second what KEV10-30 said about the badges, the boot one needs the mounting lugs snipping off and then just sticking on, however the front grille badge needs some adhedsive backing to hold it on (at the bottom) as the mounting lugs are probably supposed to have spikey washers holding them in from behind which I did not have - also access to behind the grille is not easy. But a bit of number plate sticky foam did the trick

Dan, you are spot on....You have to really remove the bumper to get the front badge on! The badge is held on with spiked clips as you said...I am a little surprised about the rear boot badge...I might have to get the fellow to raid the spare parts machine again as it doesn't sound right!

Just a quickie about the wheel badges - both the Vauxhall & Holden centre caps are held in with a very strong spring loaded clip so don't try and pry them off with a screwdriver as it may mark the alloys, it's just as easy to pop the wheel off and punch the cap out from the inside.
