Been chatting to Wicked coatings about doing allot of the rather plain looking bits of interior trim in the R8. The darker finish looks nice... Anyone got any experience with it?

Had my engine cover done by Perfectfinish4u in scotland,

Currently I have wrapped some interior parts to see what they would look like carbon dipped,

Centre console,

Dash trims,

Bonnet lip,

All the parts I have wrapped are going to a hydrodipper in harlow this weekend at Pitstop Designs.

Not to everyones taste but I like it lol

Apologies for the pics they are from my phone.

Im glad you've posted those as I was planning on getting similar interior parts dipped on mine. I went down to the place in Dorset that was seen on Wheeler Dealers and they gave me a quote, interior wise I was looking at a satin finish and possibley the whole triple gauge binacle too, as well as some parts under the bonnet.

Had great service and results from Wicked Coatings:

I also got them to match the Piano Black on my HVAC controls on the Ahstray and centre console trim

Why does your stereo and surround look different to mine, I thought all VXR8's were the same?

Yes they can, a decent one will be able to do this for you. Most just prefer to dip, lacquer and ship it out.
