Did you think about using Zircotec??Did you use the Silicone spray they say to use with the DEI Titanium wrap??
Your doing a mighty fine job there mate keep those updates flowing
I thought that i'd update this
I collected the rotating assembly.
I had the block bored, honed, crank polished, keyway added to the crankshaft, heads skimmed, rotating assembly balanced
Now mounted on the stand, just finishing the prep for paint
If everything goes to plan, the engine should be built by early afternoon on Friday

I like that. I'll be doing my next block the same.My gearbox is now in and all oiled up. Just awaiting some water pump gaskets I found were knacked. Should be firing mine up next week end with a bit of luck. Idle clips to follow!!!

Well thats Gareth in the lead, Gurmeet in second and stick bringing up the rear..
That being said I think Gareth has had his engine for at least 2 years sitting on the floor!
Together with a semi derelict farmhouse to rebuild too. That being said I think Gareth has had his engine for at least 2 years sitting on the floor!
I do know very well that when you set out on one of these self serve projects, there are walls placed here and there, the biggest being the mental variety.
