When would you have the geometry done on a car, before or after new tyres fitted ?

After I would guess. Let me know if you need any major adjustments as I might get mine checked.

Every 12,000 – 15,000 miles or once a year.

However, it is also highly reccomended when;

•You knowingly hit a kerb or pothole
•New tyres are fitted
•Steering and suspension components are replaced
•The vehicle has been involved in any form of accident or collision

Same time as new tyres being fitted. Most places will check, but do go with the settings as most places won't have it on their system

ok thanks for replies, I will get tyres done first, next question is where is the best place to go with the right gear and data, the only place I have used is Elite in Essex, Sarge4x4 is supplying and fitting the tyres

Elite are fine and can be expensive depending on how many turns they charge you for.

Phone a few local places and ask if they have a Hunter Hawkeye machine and if so then they should have the settings on there for your Gen f.

I noticed AMD had a hunter hawkeye machine whilst there on sunday and they are only in Thurrock might be worth a call and see what their prices are like compared to Elite.

Elite did my old Monaro ok but I took the mf settings with me. Was expensive but no appointment needed and they seem to know what they're doing. They also do Saturdays which helps but as you say not cheap but better than a cheap job done wrong.
