Great news, Peter Brock has been invited to Goodwood to
drive his Group C 1984 Commodore VK. Also, he's been voted second best touring car driver of all time by Motor Sport, beaten only by Steve Soper?
Good though it will be to see the great man,I still wish we could see some current or recent V8 Supercars. Then BTCC fans could witness real racing saloons instead of Astras,MGs,Civics etc.
Roll on June 24-26.

Actually got to meet Peter 'Perfect' whilst doing volunteer work on the Targa Tassie. It was when he first drove the Ute with his son James. Very nice guys, always took time out for the fans. James enjoys a beer or seven and is good to know as the girlies just flocked around him..

Jim Richards is the same, but steer clear of Peter Fitzgerald if he is around, stuck up tw*t that he is..

Aahh feels good to name drop every now and again..haha

You Little Ripper,

Brocks Group C Commodore VK from 1984 is ONE AWSOME CAR!

You will love the look of it in the Day glow Orange & White Marlboro colours & with about 550 HP from the Carby fed Holden 5.0L, it sounds fantastic!

I have seen the car, on show in a Sydney shopping centre, I have touched it.

I Went to Bathurst All through the 80's & saw the Last of the Big Bangers (Group C) as they were known, HDT Holden Dealer Team 1-2 that year, Fantastic!!

I have spoken to God him self (P Brock) on several occasions, as I often got into the pits at Bathurst. He is a Very approachable person & will ALWAYS take time to talk or sign autographs.
I have also talked to his lovely Wife Beverly Brock (Former Miss Australia). In 1986 (I think it was) I asked her for Peter’s autograph. That year Alan Moffit was teamed up with Brock in the 05 car at Bathurst. When she returned from the Team Tent she had got all the 4 drivers (2 Cars) to sign a HDT calendar for me.

I will defiantly have to go again this year then,

Can’t wait,
Rob.

G'Day Brocky fans,

Visit the Brock 05 Web Site.www.brock05.com/pperfect.php

The car to be at Goodwood this year,

1984 - Holden Commodore VK - ATCC - MHDT
In late 1994, Brock and his Group C VK big banger, were to good during the long distance races. The rice burners of Moffat were crushed. The Datsuns, well they were simply an embarrassment to Nissan. This car is on its way to victory at Sandown. They also looked GREAT!

Picture of the great car. www.brock05.com/mrhdtgallery/VkGroupC.jpg

Where were the F**d's, not a mention, see Thou Shall Not Use The 4 Letter Word.

On ya Brocky.
