Hi Steve, was nice chatting to you, cheers for the ride out.

I managed to have a good chat with a few people there on Sunday, and in a way I came away more confused than when I arrived. I had my heart set on a Monaro, but the more people I spoke to and the more I looked around the cars the more it's pointing towards the VXR8. With 2 young children I think the Monaro will have too many compromises, whereas the VXR8 seems to offer the same sensations, but in a more family friendly package.

To summarise, I still don't bloody know what I'm doing.
Don't worry too much, whatever car you buy you will always think about what you nearly bought anyway.
I always think about selling my Monaro and buying a Camero, or even a Mustang! but i'm skint so that's not going to happen.
Just try and get the best car you can, and enjoy it.
Don't forget the old that saying...the grass is always greener....

Some nice 8`s out there and I see the rationale, for me the Monaro has never been an issue with the kids as you could see with my two in the back. Depends what you want the car for and how often it will be used with kids. I'm sure you will do whats best for you and your family/circumstances, hope to see you at another meet in the near future in a Aussie V8 bruiser of one form or another.

In the spirit of keeping my life as difficult and complicated as possible, I've decided that if I were to buy an 8 it would need to be a manual, in wither white or grey. Obviously trying to find a rare car isn't enough, I need to make sure it's the rarest of rare, just to make things that little bit more difficult.
