Who has replaced the radiator in a VXR8 2008. I'd like to know if original was replaced with original or if an aftermarket or upgrade radiator was fitted. If so please provide part numbers or links to radiators. Please no directions to monkfish or walkinshaw, I am aware of them. This post is purely to find out which radiators fit the VXR8.
If Gary Handa is able to provide details of his radiator, or experience I would be grateful.

I know this seems quite sharp but I'd just like sensible answers not directions to monkfish.

Thanks

Mishimoto to do one, but I’d contact LS performance or MWP and get their advice / recommendation..

I had the top hose pipe on mine broken by someone looking into an aircon issue and it took a while to fail (brittle). I engaged a very good small local company who, with the assistance of (I believe) Subaru rally racing outfit, built me a new and better radiator. They tried using the original prints but they are still protected, preventing aftermarket units.

The car runs about 10 degrees cooler, has a quicker recovery time and I'm more than happy with it.

Just looked back to it .. Advanced Auto Cooling Bristol. Top chap, he had some trouble getting it to fit but did a stand up job in the end. Normally does great work on rare beasts including brass and old stuff.

i know it’s a bit of an old resurrected post , either rock auto for a decent one of mishimoto , my choice is mishimoto as they do a very long guarantee , which i did have to use once , and got a new rad within the week , the subaru ones have a slight design fault which the monaro or r8 ones won’t have due to the design , i’m currently running two mishimoto rads and happy with them plus they look good
