So, looking at the classifieds and what's available, where would people with experience of these cars say the sweet spot is in terms of price?
Depending on model and spec anywhere from 15-25k for an E-Series, 40k+ for a Gen-f.

Just to wade back in again, f1nn I'm well aware you weren't calling anyone a bellend, and were instead asking whether bellends have moved from buying Focus STs in to VXR8s based on what you'd seen.

You're not saying all VXR8 owners are bellends.

Also, f1nn was called a tt multiple times, including by James, and hasn't said it himself. Knowing James well enough, I'd say if anybody else had replied with f1nn's "ship might have sailed on that one" we'd all have laughed and James would have taken it in good humour because that's the kind of people we actually are in person.

Personally I don't think James is a tt (other than when he's launching his Monaro into the tall grass tongue out), but I found f1nn's response funny and wish I'd been quick enough to post it myself, as I bet Goldie would have done too hehebeer

Absolutely, I'm not here to bait or upset anyone, Ill advised thread title and unfortunate subsequent moving my the mods notwithstanding.

I do have a genuine interest in these cars, along with a few others that I'm considering, so I am appreciative of any advice, assistance etc.

I think the general consensus on here is:

Black is the fastest colour
VXR8s are for slow old codgers
Fords are st

I fully plan to be a slight bellend in mine later. It's been off the road for 6 weeks and I get to drive it again today.

Been driving a Ford KA all that time. It's going to feel like a rocket again.

On my way to work this morning, a van overtook a lorry very slowly then failed to move over.... when I flashed him he brake tested me, before moving over and giving me the coffee beans.

Another clear example of a VXR8 driver behaving like a bellend....... wanting to make progress on an otherwise empty dual carriageway coffee
