Just FWIW, I didn't have a problem with the ABS light on my 04.

Mud - is yours a 6 litre VXR ?

And have you got hsv startup logo, shift lights AND the customised message at the end ?

Mine says something like HSV 2005 on shutdown as well as the hsv welcome message

No, 2004 CV8 with lots of cluster bits enabled (Holden logo, shiftlight, etc.), which is why I was surprised I wasn't similarly afflicted.

Think it must be VXR only that can have the issue then by sounds of it (when cluster modded)

there is difference in the code between 2004 and 2005 made cars.

to crakc it for 2005 cars i would need someone with a 2005 build car and the issue and i would be happy to spend the time working it out.

if there is anyone on the fourm with this and are willing to travel to hertfordshire ill do my best to sort it out.

so i managed to get my hands on a 2005 VXR today tht had not been cluster modded and i did the mods myself and i got the hsv logo on and the shift light along with the ABS light.

here is the code i used

F2,70,28,9,1,0,0,07,D5,7,50,79,7C,7E,7E,7E,40,58,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0

this will set the HSV logo the build year to 2005 and the sutdown text to say Coupe 2005, with shift light enabled. which is how it would have the the factory in OZ.

Just to weigh in, I've a 2005 VXR, I used the vzclustermod software from the LS1GTO forum to enable the HSV logo and shutdown text etc. with zero problems.

I also used that tool to change the temperature gauge to give a more representative range of values compared to the 'everything is always fine' reading given as stock. I think mud has tried this but had limited success with it though?

Anyway, just offering an alternative, it'd be interesting to see if using that software fixed the issue with the ABS light, equally using a serial port sniffer to see what commands that sent compared to what's on here.

is clustermod the command line based one or the one with the windows GUI ?

I used the latter and a helpful spreadsheet someone has made to generate the relevant codes depending on what criteria you wanted. now its possible of course that there is an error on said spreadsheet and therefore an incorrect code sent to cluster.

will check shortly with the code that the_ferret has suggested and see what happens.

if it works then we've probably got all options and combinations / scenerarios covered haven't we ?
