E46 Headlamp Cover Replacement

Guys,

Can anyone recommend where I can get new headlamp covers for an '02 330i Sport?

I've tried to polish the bloom out of mine (inside and out) but I think they have micro cracks. They are easy to remove so new ones would be great if they're not too expensive.

Hmm I'll have to look again - I could only find one vendor, with dodgy feedback.

It's the front of the lamp unit I'm after, not the stone chip protector accessory things that fit over the headlights.

Been quoted £150 for a pair at Sytners, which isn't the end of the world I guess. Was expecting double that TBH.

Hi mate got a pair of these for my m3 ebay item number
131420786531

Only thing is I had to file one of the clips down a little bit as it wouldn't clip in but 2 mins with a fine file they fit fine
Only fits pre facelift as yours is a 02 it will be a pre facelift

Which don't unclip ?

Is that a 4 door ? The facelift lights unclip on the 4 door as it isn't one piece with the indicators like the coupe...i think. are your indicators separate, they look like it from the pic

Search "e46 headlight covers" 240 results around 75% are what you are seeking.

Search "e46 headlight lens" 146 results around 60% of which are what you are looking for.

Search "e46 headlight glass" 70 results most of which are what you are looking for.

E46 complete headlights are around £50 for Bosch or Hella units if you shop around.

Not really...If I filter the results for "UK Only" and "New", the remaining results are either pre-facelift items, or the same two vendors who, as mentioned previously, seem to have poor feedback for those parts.

"E46 Headlight Lens" - 39 results, 2 relevant,

"E46 Headlight Glass" - 30 results, 0 relevant.

As if you needed one there is a good reason for removing UK only from your filter then.

I personally have bought many items through ebay from the US, EU & Far East with no issues at all.

I ended up with the Chinese ones. They're just about OK - they don't seal particularly well (condensation is sometimes an issue), and they are now covered in micro cracks, so need replacing again. They were cheap enough though, and I got 3 years out of them.

ETA. 2 years out of them...

Genuine BMW ones boxed as Magnetti Marelli often pop up on eBay. New old stock. I bought one last month just for the lense.
