Afternoon all

Just had a load of joinery work done (windows, doors and flooring) - and now have a load of varnishing to get done.

Not had to varnish anything for years and so looking for Brand recommendations - not keen on Ronseal - only because a few years ago I used their decking stain and have been left massively unimpressed.

Anyone in the know able to recommend specific brands?

Cheers

CHR

Osmo products all day long, not the cheapest but definitely the best.

Another vote for Osmo.....defo not the cheapest, but a pleasure to put on, & goes a long way!

Again, Osmo... I use it on my speedboat which sits uncovered all year round. Small boat, big engine, not much wood but I like to keep it tidy. As said, it's a pleasure to brush out. Just make sure to recoat it before it eventually needs recoating, and it'll serve you well!

Try waxing, much easier, quicker, cheaper and I think a better finish.Try a small section, brush on or apply with a fine grade wire wool, before it hardens buff with a shoe type polishing brush. If you cock up and the wax hardens before you've polished you can soften with a heat gun.If not happy with finish the wax can be removed with meths.Brill professional finish easily obtained
