Ever since I ordered the QV I planned to take it “home” to Milan and the Alfa Romeo museum, so finally I found some time to do it.

I normally live in Cologne (Germany) so the week started with a visit to the museum at Hockenheim

Then a visit to the Porsche museum in Stuttgart (poor photo of an underground carpark)

I then headed south to Switzerland – what a beautiful country

Before heading in to the mountains – even in late May some of the passes are closed, this is Grimsel

And then on to Italy and the true objective – visiting the Alfa Romeo museum in Milan

After which a quick visit to Monza was on the cards

So after five days, 1600 trouble-free miles (I’ve now done over 4,000), and (thanks to the Sparco carbon seats) not a single ache or pain – a fantastic week

For anyone who isn’t sure – just do it, this car is amazing.

To be honest I don't really pay much attention to mpg, but guessing I would say at German speeds (115mph+ with hard acceleration periods) around 20, at "normal" Euro speeds (85-90) between 30 and 40.
I run on Super Unleaded and just fill when it needs it. It's not a car to buy with a focus on fuel consumption...

Have to start planning to do the same trip, or the NorthWest 500! Both are great, but Italy is obviously the 'right' choice - but both are great. Have a great time, the passes are soo good - so long as no cyclists...

We're off to Italy late July and this is making me even more impatient to get on the road.
