Today I had the following error come up:

"P0106-00, Manifold absolute pressure - sensor circuit - range/performance".

I had a quick look at my map sensor on the rear of my intake and the "nozzle" had snapped clean off (it was quite brittle from heat). I replaced with a new one I had spare but I'm still getting an EML and the traction control goes off.

As a test this evening I plugged in EFILive live and started data logging (yet to review) but all was well and no EML or "Trac" light came on. I stopped, got a drink and came back out and started her up again, this time instant EML and "Trac Off".

I used EFILive to get the codes but it said none were present or pending, the car wasn't running great however. Anyone experienced this before? I've never had the EML come on with the traction control before, the car coughs and splutters and seems to struggle to stay settled at a steady rpm.

Sorry to ask but why should these faults effect the traction control?

I spoke to Luis on the Monaro page and he mentioned that if any sensor fails then trac disengages. So it looks like the sensor is still goosed.

Check your battery. Low voltage can cause all sorts of weird gremlins.
