No such thing as a stupid question -

I put it into my local garage, all pretty straightforward in terms of stripping the rear hub although he did say the pressing the bearing out was a struggle but to be expected I'd wager.

I got the loom and sensor changed and that solved the issue. I haven't checked continuity of the loom yet but I'm sure that was the problem as sometimes the speedo showed the car was moving when sat on the drive!
