I think to compare a genuine VXR 500, in purely value terms, to a modified Monaro is missing the point a little.
Is a modified Sierra Cosworth worth more than a standard Sierra Cosworth RS500 because it’s quicker... No.

A vxr500 was a dealer special a bolt on blower, zero difference to wormus and his 48 engines.
This isn’t rs500 vs cossie ,

Vxr500 was endorsed by Vauxhall so it wasn’t simply a dealer special. Mine is in no way related to said car. Really not sure what your point is but your misinformed ramblings make you sound like an untrained chat bot.A vxr500 was a dealer special a bolt on blower, zero difference to wormus and his 48 engines.

Endorsed just to sell of the last few remaining cars nothing special
A bit more special than a standard car, plus when released it was a thousand quid cheaper than the standard one.( as per the vid anyway.) Not sure what all the fuss is about, still a great car at the end of the day. I'm not talking about the one for sale just the VXR500's in general.

I think this is totally missing the point. It’s part of the car’s history and they only did a few of them which for some will make it desirable. No I would not buy one now but I can see the appeal. It’s the same difference between a HSV and a normal CV8. Same car underneath are they not?
In Aus, the special one was the CV8-Z, not the HSV.
