Nothing seems to be happening with the nc500, but I'd still like to venture north.
Will there still be a meet and drive about on the August bank holiday weekend?
If there will be I'll book the usual hotel in Stirling and come up!
If Premier Inn, Stirling is busy/pricey, try Premier Inn, Dumbarton. Will there still be a meet and drive about on the August bank holiday weekend?

August 24-25, leaving bank holiday monday.
it's now 1 week earlier than what was planned.might be able to meet up with you and do the Saturday, sunday (if I can get the Saturday off)
just need my car back first
I take it, it will just be a run and not the nc500 because you would not be staying at the stirling premier inn the whole weekend (original plan was 3 days not 2) ?
if you where doing the nc500 it would be best to start in inverness, get roger to find somewhere for the Saturday and sunday to stay.

So what’s the plan on Sat / Sunday?
Normally just have a bit of a meet and something to eat saturday, all the local lads go home and I sample a few beers.Sunday we all meet up fairly early and someone who has sorted a route will pas out prints of the route for the day.
we''ll drive sedately to a restaurant/pub for a bite to eat and then drive ever so gently back to the hotel.
Later I shall drink about a gallon and half of Guinness and retire to my room for an early start for my 427 mile drive home [according to Google maps.]

mind you sometimes printing a route out doesn't help (people cant read English) , one of the years I done the route the first instruction was turn left out of the carpak me and the first 4 cars turn left drive for approx. 1 mile and stop. wait for 5 - 10 minutes and no more cars turn up.
where is everyone.
phoned one of them up and the other 13 cars turned right out the carpark up to the roundabout, took one of the junctions off the roundabout and flying up the road trying to catch us up ( most had passengers with a map and instructions ).

Sounds good. I’ll be up for one of the days, maybe both. If we are blessed with today’s weather I’ll be into the beers myself Sunday we all meet up fairly early and someone who has sorted a route will pas out prints of the route for the day.

Bookmarked. I’m only 15 mins from that Premier Inn, have yet to meet any other Monaro/R8 weirdos, so I’ll do what I can to come along too if you’ll have me
We'll be very glad to see you there.Sunday is the main event to go out on some great Scottish roads.
For those that don't know Paul, his credentials include having owned a pristine and quick VXR8.
