Can't agree with all new cars being better than previous models. My Saab 95 Aero isn't as good as the 9000 Aero which was much better made & had a better engine. Sure the new Saab engine is lighter, but thats about it.
My friends new Merc E class is inferior to his previous one.
I reckon the Cavalier SRi was better than its Vectra replacement.
I really like the BMW 535d & I'm considering replacing the Aero with a used touring, but I think the iDrive sucks so maybe not.
I could go on.
I have always been a huge Chevy V8 fan & my previous post stated how much I hope the 6.0 will be as tunable & reliable as the 5.7.
In standard tune, I think there is no doubt that the 6.0 is superior to the 5.7. But in cars like ours & Corvettes etc.they are often tuned to mega levels of bhp & only time will tell if the 6.0 will be as brilliant as the 5.7 is. I really hope it is, but I have a horrible feeling that it may not be. Time will tell.

Thanks A57HSV, for the sort of reply which I was looking for.
I admit that I had not really considered how strong the engine may or not be when subjected to huge power increases.
I have to say that in standard tune, I prefer my car to both the Vauxhall-badged 5.7s, which surely is not a crime, ffs.
Perhaps we can continue now without the unnecessary aggression from one or two.
Thanks.
Oh, I have owned 2 Corvettes myself, a 454 ci from 1969 and a 350 ci of 1982 build, (the first of the Crossfire Injection models).
I love them all, too.
The big-block was not particularly powerful but had awesome torque from virtually tickover.
I bet the new 7.0 is a gem.
