Hi all
The passenger seat in my Monaro is stuck all the way forwards and won't go back. i can hear a click when I lift the lever and the same click when I press the return button but the seat doesn't move. The rest of the functions work just not the for/back.
Have tried giving it a shove while holding the button but doesn't help.
Anybody got any ideas?

could be a coin wedged in the gearing

Definitely the first thing to do as mentioned is to check both tracks for coins or other debris on both track runners.
If you have a clicking sound when you operate the seat then at least you have power. I would remove the switches from the lower seat trim and clean them with electrical contact cleaner and see if that works.

Watch you don't un-plug the side airbag connector under the seat. That'll give you an air-bag dashboard warning light that needs special tech to reset.

should be fine unless you turn on the ignition whilst unplugged

And airbag light can be cleared with some software and an easily made cable, so not the end of the world smile

OP, not want you want to hear but I had a vaguely similar issue with my original seats, it was so long ago I can't actually remember which part of the movement didn't function, possibly the backrest tilt, anyway, it was an issue with the actual control box, I ended up getting a new set of seats anyway so never got to the bottom of it.

Hopefully it's just something wedged as above thumbup

was there not known issues with the little micro switches in the seats that simply needed cleaning so hopefully it’s nothing too bad

Thanks everyone. I ve been away for a few weeks thus the lack of reponse. I'll try cleaning the switches and recheck the tracks for any obstructions. Hopefully one of these will sort the problem.
