trickle charge

is it safe and will it work if i fit a trickle charger to the jump start posts in the engine compartment, or would it be better to connect to the battery.

vxr8 i charge on the posts in the engine bay , monaro straight to battery , ive never had an issue , charger is on a timer so it charges for about 2 hours a day , bought trickle charger for about 20£ at eurocarparts

Any connection to the battery is fine. Direct to battery or jump terminals.

You might be as well just taking the battery out than trickle charging. Better for battery plus bonus of wiping fuel trims

Mine stays hooked up to CTEK charger for 4 or 5 months at a time.
