Monaro LS2 at auction 25th Jan
Discussion
Have to say I really don't enjoy this forum anymore seems to be full of people wanting to
devalue our cars, whether this is designed to simply get a bargain I really don't know.
Anyone who has owned driven or seen a Monaro in the flesh knows these cars are simply special, which is why even a so called rusty one will never be sold for peanuts.
There is simply no reason to post anything constructive here anymore.

There are still helpful, informative people on here. It’s just marred by a handful of tts who want nothing more than to get people’s backs up. If I was on Facebook I’d have nothing more to do with this forum and I really think that’s a shame. Personally, from now on, I will just boycott every thread that commented on by these people (or person). devalue our cars, whether this is designed to simply get a bargain I really don't know.

Seriously tired of this prick.
What’s the crack? Why hang around forums for cars you don’t own? It’s a bit weird to be fair?
There’s a lot of cars out there that I wished I could afford/own. Until the day I do, I won’t hang around their forums like some peado in a playground. Whether you have knowledge of these cars, their engines or both, have you really got nothing better to do with your time than lurk around passing various comments to try and upset owners on here? I have no idea how old you are but if your anything over 14, maybe it’s time to leave the bedroom and see what’s about in the big wide world. Other than my Monaro and R1 and custom van, I have 4 cracking kids, a dog and a mrs with the best tits you’ve ever seen (or probably never in your case).
Get out there pal, there’s more to life than being a complete bellend
He's got a thing for Wormus. What’s the crack? Why hang around forums for cars you don’t own? It’s a bit weird to be fair?

Once they stop them joining up under new names all will be fine.
I do think overall the site is improving.
I've been on this forum since 2009 and I was a lurker before that, back then this forum was a hive of activity with people that were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Now things are very quiet as people have moved over to face book or sold there cars and moved onto other things, but I think this forum is still relevant.
There are still a few people on here asking questions on how to maintain or modify their cars so it's a pleasure to be able to help them out when possible.
As for the people who go out of there way to annoy other members, sadly that is just a fact of life I'm afraid.
I'm a Monaro fan and nothing is going to change that no matter what others think about my over priced rust bucket.
If possible I fully intend to keep my car for years to come I really don't want to part with it unless I absolutely have to.
I look at my car with illogical rose tinted glasses, I'm an old school dinosaur, a keeper of the flame.
The electric future is not for me.
John

Are you talking about George Smiley Dri humpsome old bks and other assorted names.
The moderator has been at work this evening.Someone may have used the "Report" button at the right side of the page to make an alert about the undesirable aspect of this individual and it's alias's.
The observant of us may have noticed a very recent thread or two no longer exist.
Asking for more pics of a respected member's personal life was the final straw.
If further abuse invades this forum, the Report button may solve excessive problems
Well spotted bigwheel! Clicking on an old 'George Smiley' thread contribution takes you to the profile of Triumph Trollemite.
I started on the TVR area of PH and still go there. It, too has negative posters but on the whole is helpful and informative. It's what PH is about and I've learnt about the quirks of several different car marques on here, long may it be.

A strange troll George Smiley, don't know why he bothered to be honest.
Anyway, this forum is still the No.1 place for actual information and help, unlike facebook, this forum can be searched properly as most problems have been encountered before and there is usually an answer in previous posts.

Is that Bonnie's modified Monaro?
Curious, Bonnie was a very well respected red Monaro owner/PH'er from many years ago. Her husband had a VXR8. There was ongoing banter between her and another male PH'er who in time went too far and was banned. His name escapes me but I'm wondering if he's one and the same as the recent troll?bigwheel said:

Are you thinking of stigmundfreud ??
That's the one. Mmm, similar word play!
stigmundfreud, George Smiley, Drihump Trollomite, Triumph Trollomite, all the same account.
The easiest way to find the other aliases is probably to search Wormus' posts, as wherever he posts, stiggy will be there asking how many engines he's been through and so on.
He did profess to like Monaros and I believe had one some time ago, but alas, being generous here, the subtlety of his humour was perhaps lost over the internet, and ultimately he just wound people up the wrong way, and despite knowing this carried on, so I imagine not much option left for the mods.
Regards the forum, it's a useful knowledgebase because unlike facebook any questions / answers aren't lost after about 30 minutes. It's not what it was 8 years ago of course, but then what is
He also had a VXR8 with a very loud exhaust and an number plate that was easily misread. I remember lots of banter and laughs on the forum, but nothing personal. Stig and Mel probably accounted for 100+ posts every week between them, always raised a smile. But that was 11 years ago when I was looking to buy a Monaro.
