Well that’ll do for a bit! The brakes are bedding in well, I have a road trip in two week so will get the miles up locally before then.
It’s been a busy few weeks but the old Ute feels much more capable and fresher now, well worth the effort.

So a couple of weekends ago me and my son did a 1400 mile road trip in the Ute, across the Uk and touring wales with some like minded guys, their cars included a GT3, M2 comp, C63, M4, M3 and AMG A45. The Ute, with its new suspension and brakes did a cracking job keeping up with the German stuff. The weather at times was shocking and the truck felt planted and safe at all times. The Ute was the only vehicle with a manual transmission and once the other guys had a go on the clutch I think I earned a few respect points!

Can’t wait to get on the road again!!

Absolutely loved these for years. Always fancied one but they’re not cheap.

Hugely jealous of you all.

^^^ Don't be swapping that Monaro. Beautiful looking thing!
Really grown on me lately these V2 CV8's - subtle yet handsome.

Wow! Good to see it again! How’s the old beast treating you? That was/is such a mint car

Forgive the delay!

Treating me very well, doesn't come out much these days but always an event when it does!

Largely unchanged from your ownership but pulled the engine and fitted an LS7 clutch with remote bleed, renewed a few perishable items while it was apart. Changed to decats as the sports cats didnt agree with my driveway if you recall they sat quite low! Miss the sound of those cut outs though!

Over 3 years in now, have had the urge for a change but not sure what I'd replace it with short of a supercharged car which don't come up for sale too often unfortunately. Here to stay till then!

Great! I did spot the car at the end of the vid posted up from the Caffeine and machine meet. I unfortunately couldn’t make it.

I did manage another road trip the week before though. Using York as a base we headed up north from there over two days.

Shame you couldn't make the meet, great gathering would have been good to see the ute!

Great photo James, agreed it sits incredibly well with all the cosmetic modifications. All credit to Paul really, I've just kept it clean hehe

Good to see the wagon too, my favourite car of the day. Cant beat a fast wagon!

Another mod for the Ute this week. I’ve never thought much of the standard seats so I’ve upgraded to these! Passenger one has gone in tonight but the drivers side will need a bit of fabrication as I’m retaining the electric height adjustment on the subframe.
They look great though and feel much more snug….

Yes, they look great. Like a factory fit upgrade.
Bonus is the Ute is just a 2 seater, so no original rear bench to clash.
I suspect those seats would look great in a Monaro too, but then might clash with the original back seats.

I think the Monaro is fairly flexible with seats, people often comment that these fit in really well without looking too aftermarket, apologies for the rest of the interior being in bits hehe

Well not Ute related but I’ve gone and bought another V8 to keep the Ute company in the garage.
Looking forward to getting it later this week from MWP
I see it’s a known car, it was at Caffine and machine in September and there is a few YouTube clips by the previous owner. If anyone has anymore info on it I would love hear
