Hello all, I would like to know if there are any options to swap the seats in a VE SS Ute. The seats in it are ok ish but ideally would like a pair of VXR8 seats in it. I was wondering if any other GM seats fit? For example Vectra/Insignia VXR, basically something that I can get my hands on in the UK.
Cheers

There's a local guy here in Northern Ireland advertised some VXR8 seats on the LS FB page just a few days ago.
They weren't mint by any means, but seemed decent enough. Postage might be awkward though

I've always wanted to fit a set of Recaro Speed seats in my Ute, on trackdays I find it harder to drive sliding around on leather seats.

Lap straps are meant to help allegedly.

I had to keep pushing myself back in the seat not fun while braking at the end of the straight into the corner. I might take the plunge one day and get some new Recaros, I had a set of Evo ones in my Chevette and Terrano. The Ute commands quality. rofl

Not that you can find them any more, but I have a CG-lock in each of the Holdens, basically just keeps the lap part of the belt as tight as you pull it, a really nice addition that keeps you held decently well in the seat and doesn't interfere in any way.

I was lucky that I bought 3 of them about 9 years ago, they've long since stopped being made unfortunately

Not a bad idea, but I would like a nice set of new seats. ( one day)
