I have heard of that problem but only recently, that does sound a bit terminal !
My car did suffer constant tyre wear on the inner front wheels, I had the car to various tyre outlets to fix it but without success.
Oddly enough a guy who worked in the North Yorks police workshop fixed the issue for me straight away, top bloke.
The omega owners forum has the settings you need to get it adjusted to. And you have to play hardball with the operator of the laser measurement, to get them.to not just say ",That'll do" My car did suffer constant tyre wear on the inner front wheels, I had the car to various tyre outlets to fix it but without success.

To be fair, mine now needs new wishbones, and PU bushes fitting.

i think the omega and monaro have the same floor pan , they share door handles at least , the omega just lacks the v8
The floor plan looks the same but the Holden is bigger and stronger than the Opel. There was at least one Opel Omega built with an LS1, this was a prototype MV8 but the idea didn't go any further

The subframes on the Holdens are a couple of inches wider, so although bits are similar and they clearly used the same template for the pre-facelift Omega headlights, they aren't actually the same platform.Craig at Dynotorque has put an LS1 and associated Monaro bits into an Omega estate, and it required a decent amount of chopping of the Monaro bits to narrow them down to fit, there's a youtube video on the car here:

I'm sure I read that the commodore was based on the omega platform, but widened by 50mm, can't find that reference now though!
It looks like they've all been based on the GM V platform since the 60s (!) so you can pretty much pick and choose what is based on what https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_V_platform_(1966)
