Not sure I can say too much, but had a ride in a Supercharged 550bhp Monaro last night.

I want a supercharger now...very neat install and the price is reasonable given the performance boost

Good to hear of a S/Charged Monaro, often wondered why more haven't been built. Maybe now you can get used Monaro's for £20k, some more people will be tempted to do so.
I reckon if you spent approx. £20k on the S/Charger, brakes, suspension etc. you would have a coupe that would hold its own against supercars costing way more.
This months EVO mag. timed the V10 M5 they took to the "Ring" at 0-60 5secs 0-100 10.4 secs.
Would be somewhat satisfying to outdrag the new M5 in a Vauxhall.
Love to hear more benno when the info. becomes "Declassified"!

Hello,

The supercharger that was fitted was from us ee-performance which is part of Emotonal Engineering Ltd. We are the EU agents for Harrop kit (brakes,s-chargers, diffs and a wide variety of quality stuff). The s-charger was the first one we have fitted in the UK and we are working with Wortec to tune and (apart from cheap, bollistic horsepower) better understand the impact of installing the kit.

If you want more info, please email me.

That is the plan!

Also you'll love the race car now, new engine!!! new VXR 2005 bodywork. We tested it at Silverstone on Monday with Yvan Muller for CAR mag.

It was great.

Interesting news on the SCharger, was it a case of simply fitting it onto a stock engine with other obvious breathing changes made or has any internal srengthening etc. been done?

Also was it a CV8 or VXR that has been modded?

Cheers

I cannot say to much about this paticular cat at present but it is a very tidy self-contained s-charger unit.

They have been fitted to stock CV8's and VXR's (HSV GTO) types and have not given any bother, some have now done 30,000 clics

But as ever, it depends on how you drive...

Would this be the same car that was at Greens this afternoon! Got a phone call from an excited friend there, who tells me it makes my clubbie sound like a hedge strimmer!!

that's some fine engineering. Roots blower too, so all your power will be in at very low rpm.

I think thats an apt description, my mate and I both had de cat Cerby's in the past and both sounded like Metro's in comparison with the car in question...
