Contact Dan Mugglestone on here. He does have one, it may be with someone else at the moment, but whoever has it will send it on to you.

Apologies for the minor thread hijack, but with the front subframe, is there any critical alignment that needs to happen, or it is fairly fool proof, and just expect to have a bit of a geometry session done after?

A complete guess would be as there's actually some reasonable adjustment possible in the front suspension the alignment is less critical?

When i refitted mine i found two of the bolt holes where a tight fit to the shank of the bolt and two sloted holes . When you put the tight fitting bolts in first the subframe didn't move so there was no adjustment. Also the manual made no mention of an alignment tool for the front.

Much appreciated, thanks for that.

I really just need to drop it out of the way of the sump, do you think I could get away without disconnecting the suspension struts and largely let it hang from those / the arms etc.? As nothing is connected to it I was optimistically hoping to basically disconnect the steering column and the engine mounts, and just lower it down leaving it propped up on something just to give me enough room to get the sump off cleanly.

I'll take a look myself when under the car, just like to get an idea of things in advance!

Also, am I correct that the subframe bolts are torque to yield jobbies, so will need replacing? Do you happen to have the part number to hand if so? smile

I can't see that being an issue. Thats how it would have been fitted on the production line as a sub-assembly and roughly how i put mine back in obviously with a beam across the top to hold the engine up.
Rightly or wrongly i reused my bolts , they are tty bolts and i could get you the part numbers later, but as always they are made of unobtainium and discontinued.

You may get new ones from

Cheers for that, have gone for a set, seems worthwhile as I don't plan on ever getting rid of the car, so I'm going to need some at some point most likely!

From what I've read the shoulder on the front bolts is what aligns the cradle so makes sense that they don't require anything fancy to get fitted back correctly.

Spray around the bolt heads with paint. That will accurately mark the positions and you can refit back to the perfect position
