I know i shouldn't be, but sad to see my red VXR go today. Going to a good home, and will be cared for as i would care for it. But best car i ever had.

Thanks Vauxhall for bringing them over, and to Holden for making in the first place.

Drive on. :driving:

Best car you have ever had.....until that little black beastie you are now tooling about in!

I must say the recent changes I have had a la your red VXR are probably the best yet and the lower geared diff is yet to come..as you well know.

I am currently looking at shares in Pirelli!

Hey Sean
Ever since you joined i've been intrigued by your monicker, P47 etc. You must be a big fan of 'The Jug', I've seen the UK's only example many times, and twice this year in fact. Superb!
What's the connection?

Nothing terribly interesting I have always been interested in aviation and I had a model P47 as a kid.

Link is big powerful brawny engines I guess - most people talk about hurricanes, spitfires and mustangs but teh P47 was the most powerful of all!

Must admit would like to see one again in action along with the all of the above. A family friend was a top test pilot and he preffered flying WW2 machinery to current stuff - and he restored by hand an original Mustang (car) 550.

Hi Sean
Last chance to see the only Thunderbolt in Europe is at Duxford 10/11 Sept. It lives there and will almost certainly fly. Should be some other big radials e.g. Corsair. Some fast jets too. Could be a bit of a trek for you but worth it.

It is a shame I cannot make that weekend and as you say its a bit of a drive. Off to Colchester next weekend that would have been do able will have to plan next year.

I always intend to go to the Fairford Air Tatoo but never make it - I used up my allowance this year with the 24hours Le Mans still can't have it all I suppose.

just got back from holiday and checking up on the sight, You have been very busy, I think the saying the king is dead, long live the king is very apt in the case of the new beast!! really looking forward to seeing it.Do you think that a 05 vxr would benifit from a rip shifter, the only thing i think may hold you back is that it is not Red!! I though you knew that red is the fastest/best.
