At the moment the monaro I threw on my admiral multicar insurance. Its about 450 to insure (my no claims are on my mr2 and scirocco) so not bad with no no claims
I have got a quote from AIB. But didn't know if there was any monaro specialist people use?

Cheers

I use Adrian Flux on a limited mileage policy and guaranteed value. I would recommend them as always been good with me!

I'm with Adrian Flux but going to shop around this time around just out of curiosity really as it's gone up each year for no reason.

I've heard good things from other Holden people about Sky Insurance, A-Plan & Need2Insure

I spoke to A-Plan last year and they were really friendly / personable, so I think I may go with them on that basis this year, price was very similar to Flux.

I'm with A-Plan this time round, they're almost always competitive.

When I insured my drift 200SX with them many years ago they were the only broker I called who didn't laugh at the list of mods.

I guess some of us with no mods or minor mods can more easily get covered with Admiral but for me, no chance.

I'd also say try Flux and REIS if your car is modified - don't bother if it isn't.

I got mine insured with admiral in the end.
I did ring around all the insurers recommended
They cover that is has mods, just not the cost of the mods, so back to standard, but let be honest, most insurance companies would just write it off anyway
TBF mods don't add value to a car.
All mods on it. its on as part of the multi car of my scirocco and wifes golf. so they copied over my NCB, well not copied, but took into account i already use them on a car with them
Cheapest by a long way too

Adrian flux and AIB were the dearest

The A plan thatcham branch is the best one to contact as they cover more unusual cars ie jdm and modded motors , I’ve been with them for years

LV multicar with my insignia, get both for £600. Only 1 year ncd on the monaro, everywhere else wanted nearly a grand just for the monaro!

Also with Admiral after a few years elsewhere. Originally got good prices with them when I was living in a Zone 3 London postcode, in my 20s with my 350z.

1 (3 year old non fault) accident on it, 4 years NCB, cheaper than the road tax at least, £540.

Just sorted renewal for all 3 of them with A-Plan.

Monaro with all mods declared was £450 so was pleased with that smile The other 2 were £350 each. All for commuting / social use, mileage across them adds up to about 18,000.

Interestingly they also told me the discounts from the no claims bonus. 5 years NCB on the Ute got me a 60% discount, whereas 16 years NCB on the other two got me a 66% discount. So not a huge amount in it it seems once you're over 5 years!

I was a little underwhelmed by A-Plan to be honest, having got a quote from them yesterday. They were £145 more expensive than Flux's for a like for like policy! I guess it depends on a lot of factors but this time no cigar A-Plan!

Just taxed and took the Monaro of SORN today, sorted insurance too.

Went with Esure this time, £206 pa with all mods declared, 3000 mile limit. Pretty happy with that.
