I'm collecting my Monaro this week!
Discussion
Well when I heard Vauxhall were stopping them I had to make sure I got one so rushed out and picked up an 04 plate black 333bhp version with 8k on the clock. Unfortunately as part of the deal I also had to agree to buy a Corsa TDi to use as my everyday car - well it was cheaper to buy a new Corsa than running the Monaro to work through the Glasgow rush hour every morning!! I see you lot organise meets every now and then - be interested in coming along to any "northern" locations.
Well done on selecting one of most fun value for money cars on the road today!!!
I look forward to seeing you at the British GT race at Silverstone Oct 9th to support our GT2 Monaro race car and join in the end of year party.

Lets try to get the largest collection of Monaro's together out side of Australia!!!

fao booster - you asked how much it cost - 22k was the cost. I'm sure I could have got it slightly cheaper from down south but its in immaculate condition and came complete with an Rac Trackstar tracker installed - worth 300-400 quid. just out of curiosity what kind of money are you guys paying in insurance - I finally got mine down to £505 fully comp.
I tried loads of people for insurance but eventually found that elephant.co.uk were the cheapest - part of the admiral group. I've got a total of £450 excess with that. Thats for 8 years no claims and a clean licence. Car parked in a driveway! Assuming of course you pay it all up front - if you go 10 payments with either admiral/elephant it jumped to around £720
