Problem with cars like this ,and mine, is they are not ULEZ compliant, the thought of being hit £50 to use it over a weekend tis a bit unsavoury.
May not affect you now, but it’s coming to a town near you soon

My 2009 6.2 LS3 is compliant too.

I have noticed that some 3rd party checks show it as not, but the official one says it is just as an FYI to those checking information out there.

Luis Sola.
(This is my interesting Commodore)

Many months ago, I did enquire with Luis Sola, via Carl Herkes, but the likely issue was/ is the PCS TCM-2650 controller, so he couldn't help me. As of this evening, Jim from Zero Gravity (supplier of said controller) has suggested we try reloading the firmware.......more news soon.

I believe it's just to do with their EURO compliance rating. Whether they actually are compliant or are the same engine as a car that is compliant is irrelevant, it's just to do with the model itself being EURO4 compliant (I think it's EURO4 for petrols?)

So the Monaros etc. are fine, but earlier Commodores and such, despite being the same drivetrain, aren't, simply because they are too old so weren't put through the EURO4 compliance testing as it wasn't around, it came in to force in 2005.

Naturally if "common sense" was a factor in any area of bureaucracy then you'd be able to speak to "a person" and explain the reality of the situation, but good luck with that!

Fingers crossed!

Brief update.......

No firmware change, but a revised calibration via Jim - no discernable differences. More to come from Jim, so I'll keep trying the calibrations etc. as they arrive and the car will soon appear once more online, but will it get any bids this time round?!

Did get a chance yesterday in the dry weather to use manual mode and 100% throttle in 1st and into 2nd (with a bit of traction control interference/help at that point!). So close to being a decent transmission mated to a fabulous engine....
