whichever you buy they will be heavier than the ap discs,so much more unsprung weight, but a better material composition for road use-my issues were i didnt use the car a lot so the ap discs would always be rusty when pulling the car out again

Abs sensor was a pita to remove without breaking the bracket off
i pulled the internal copper windings out and collapsed it inwards on itself-it was a very destructive method for the old sensor, but i have heard of folk breaking the securing ear off before...and iirc that means new rear diff cover

replacement sensor was from rock autos in the states, cant remember exact cost but much cheapness
Many thanks for that detail. I tried removing both my rears but stopped before damaging anything.
The plan was to shim the sensors to increase the air gap to the reluctor rotors to prevent the occasional dash traction control warning when accelerating hard. It's a known factory issue with a published solution ie. the air gap is often smaller than factory spec (I forget what it should be) so increase the gap with shims (factory supply no longer available).
A very kind Pistonheader made up some shims for me, gratissmile

hi-the monaro in question was fairly clean for its age underneath and there is absolutelyno way you would get the sensor out without wrecking it-maybe in a dry state of usa or Australia itself-in the uk not a hope,i have had sucess on some fords, volvos etc removing the sensor and putting a washer beneath before,so yes,if they would come out clean it would be worth a shot....

i am sure two sensors were about 30 quid or so the pair when i bought them-takes a few days to come across from the states
