As some of you know we have been tuning the LS2 6.0ltr Monaro for a few weeks now and we though it was time to update you........

So here goes:

First job was to dyno the test car which had covered 1200miles, and it showed pretty much what the spec sheet said it should.

Next we added a catback system, put the car back onto the dyno and a nice uplift of 20hp (at the hub)was achieved ......

We then moved onto the hours of data logging so we understood how the new PCM functioned.

This weekend saw the first new tunes start to be tested and to say we are happy is an understatement!!!!!

Fuelling is nicely back in line, throttle response is greatly improved and in gear acceleration is proving very intoxicating!!

We have much more work to do, but a quick data log on 0-60mph showed a sub 5sec run and onto a 0-100mph time tantalisingly close to 10sec!!!!!

Nice one Paul, I guess there would be no point in changing the headers ?
I hope you can get a nice overall "Wortec tuned" BHP figure as a bi-product of sorting the fueling !!

Hi Dan,.....

Normaly we would have produced a tune without changing any parts but the standard 6.0ltr exhaust system is way to quiet so we decided to produce the first tune based on a car with our upgrade catback.

When we are happy with this tune then we will add headers.....

"boosted ls1" this engine is a nice bit of kit (N/A anyway)I was expecting heat problems but the ECT is a good 10deg lower than LS1 and IAT is very fast to cool.....

A cam would be a good upgrade? any ideas......

Paul, Ls2 is reputed to have an inferior quality water pump but if it works then it works Plenty of cams to choose from but only 1 main provider of billets. Grinds will all be lsx based to date so it depends on what you want and if warranty will apply. I've found a couple of good ones though Will call shortly.
