Cheers gang, just ordered the pedders super low. My head was telling me to go with low but I couldn't help myself

As I'm about to replace my suspension, I measured ride heights yesterday out of curiosity. It's a VXR on 19s, from bottom of rim to bottom of arch was 595mm at the front.

I have the Pedders Super Low on the front, so that seems about right.

I like a bit of rake and only have the Pedders Low on the back, and quite possibly have a 10mm spacer in there too, with an empty tank my rear ride height is 620mm hehe

I think that might put it quite near to stock rear ride height to be honest, would be curious. I have 255/35s on the rear so slightly taller sidewall at the back.

How is life with the super low on the front? No regrets?

None at all, when I put the coilovers on I'll dial them in to the same height.

I do have some 1 7/8" long tubes that hang quite low, they can scrape going over the hump of my drive but it's a big hump...

For me super low on the back looked like the suspension had collapsed, I played about with the rear until I settled on the height it is now

That's good to hear. Hopefully the fact that I'm on 18s rather than 19s won't mean my experience is too different to yours

Pedders low on the rear, I’m changing these out to std height springs - there’s 40mile on these springs which I’ll be selling in next few weeks

What’s in the car in the image

What is due to go in

You can buy Pedders spacers to raise the ride height. I have two 6mm spacers on each rear spring, one at the top and one at the bottom. It works fine.

The actual spring cups at the top on the front are quite thin, and had completely rusted and cracked through on mine.

I’ve seen a couple of photos of rusted out spring cups, and they were really bad.
I’m still on the originals so it’s a bit of a worry, and I believe spares are no longer available.

NOS items can still be found with a little searching I believe.
I got mine from LSPeformance.
MWP might have some, I'd personally get looking and buy some asap. My originals weren't too bad though.

Fitted the super lows on the back yesterday. Didn't even have to clamp the new springs to get them on lol. Luckily I had new shocks because we had to destroy the old ones to get them off. The bottom bolts were NOT coming off otherwise.

For the future reference of anyone who stumbles on this thread and wants to see what the pedders super low kit looks like on a cv8 with 18 inch wheels. Pleased with the result.
