The front HSV Rotors are extremely warped. Got them machined, but when of course you get them up to temperature they become really noticeable.

Where do you get them from here in the UK?

The cheapest place most of the HSV owners have gone to is www.dba.com.au and expect to pay around £400 for the fronts....

V2HSV and Jagsy will have all the info...........

Well, spent pretty much most of the afternoon pulling the brakes apart. Nasty thing was that the pads looked like they had been smacked in with a hammer, so they won't pull back when you let your foot off the brake.

Anyhow, think some of the problem is that I am expecting them to be like the old brakes. Think that ABS must be kicking in pretty early. Guess the thing to test is to pull out the fuse. Punch down on the pedal, and a big hung thump happens. Anyhow, still reasonably shuddery, so going to have to invest in a new set of rotors.

Just as well the VW man down the road has alot of kit. Anyhow, thanks for all the help and advice... all greatly appreciated.

Jas,

DBA rotors (excellent feel and look the business).
DBA 5000 Cross-drilled and slotted
All four to the door from Oz for approx £650 all in.
And that was air-mail.

note: front rotors are two piece so replacement rotors are cheaper.

Cheers, Eric
